Drink the District – $30 Unlimited Beer

When the BBB Team heard about Drink the District, we were a little skeptical. We have been to plenty of beer tastings where a ticket merely gets you inside, then you drop another $50 on “beer tickets” and stand in lines that are so long, you could easily pound seven beers while you wait, if you had enough “beer tickets” which you don’t because they don’t accept credit cards and the closest ATM is two blocks away, which you can use but you have to get back in line and wait to get inside the event.

Sigh. It’s a giant clusterfuck every single time that leaves us moderately buzzed and swearing we’ll never attend a fucking beer tasting again.

But Drink the District is different. You purchase a ticket online for $30 and this gets you unlimited beer during the entire event. There are over 40 beers to choose from, which should limit lines. They have TWO sessions, either from 12-4 PM or 5-9 PM. If you are feeling bold, you CAN buy a ticket for each one and simply hang out (i.e. take an hour to go grab some food, it’s like a lunch break if your job was drinking beer!) and then head back in for the second session. There will be food trucks on site and entertainment as well.

Let me break it down for you…

When: Saturday, July 28th from 12-4 PM or 5-9 PM
Where: 500 New York Ave NW Washington, DC 20001
What: UNLIMITED tastings of over 40 craft beers + food trucks + entertainment
BUY TICKETS HERE: Drink the District Tickets

The entire BBB Team will be there all day double-fisting and turning strangers into friends. Come by and say hi, introduce yourself, have a drink with us, get some sun. We’ll be giving out BBB swag if you get there early enough. What is BBB swag? You’ll have to come to find out.

Did we mention it’s unlimited beer? UNLIMITED BEER!
