Happy IPA Day!

What is IPA Day: A celebration of craft beer founded in 2011 by social media enthusiasts Ashley Routson and Ryan Ross. They refer to it as a “universal movement” but lets be honest, it is about enjoying beer, getting drunk and tweeting about it. We aren’t curing cancer here, we are having a good Thursday night.

How does one celebrate IPA Day?: Go to a bar. Buy an IPA. Drink the IPA. Tweet/Instagram/Facebook a photo of the IPA with the hashtag #IPADay. Then order 5 more IPAs and claim you’re celebrating a national holiday. Like Christmas, if Jesus was made of beer.

Where should I celebrate IPA Day?: If you are in Arlington, we suggest: Lyon Hall, Rustico, Green Pig Bistro or Galaxy Hut. If you prefer the city, we suggest ChurchKey, R.F.D., Black Squirrel, The Big Hunt

What if I want to know more?: Visit IPAday.org

Be sure to tweet your IPA of choice when out and about this evening! We’d love to know what you’re drinking and where. Cheers!
