5 Things We Learned This Weekend.

1. Frankenstorm is scariest thing we’ll see this Halloween. The constant updates from Capital Weather Gang have convinced us to take this storm seriously. There is talk of squalls happening. What are squalls? We aren’t sure. sounds serious. We are prepared for the worst. And by “prepared” I mean we have lots of booze and leftover pizza. Seriously. Stay home. Crack open a beer and watch Sandy pass through from the comfort of your own home, not on the clusterfuck that is 66/495/14th ST/GW Pkwy will be in about four hours.

2. Halloween is on Wednesday. What? We were shocked when we were informed this at around 3AM on Saturday. We know it’s hard to believe with the amount of celebrating you did this weekend, but the actual holiday is this Wednesday. Don’t forget to buy candy for the kids in your neighborhood. Bonus points if you pass them out dressed like this. Double bonus points if you pass out king size candy bars. Every child will assume you’re a millionaire.

3. Full Metal Brunch is awesome. A good friend of the BBB team, had a birthday this weekend. She decided to celebrate with an all-day boozefest at Rock & Roll Hotel on H St. The Full Metal Brunch menu is simple: chicken, waffles or chicken & waffles. Bottomless mimosas and bloodies for $15. And did we mention the $3 PBR, cornhole, and open rooftop? AWESOME.

4. The Raven is the best dive bar in DC. If you are in the city and craving chili, head to Tonic in Mount Pleasant and order the lamb chili. Immediately afterwards, get cash out of the nearest ATM and head to The Raven. They only accept cash and the bathroom is disgusting, however for drinks are cheap and the jukebox has an incredible selection.

5. There is no 5. Apparently nearly six months of blogging has made us smarter. We have nothing left to learn.
